The Russian Federation may send two Luna 27 stations instead of one as previously planned, Roscosmos chief Yury Borisov has said.

According to him, it will be a paired mission, with the two vehicles landing at the north and south poles of the Moon. This will also increase the reliability of the mission. According to previously announced plans, the Luna-27 mission will take place in 2028.
