The US Army has begun activities to prepare a mobile reserve from among military retirees.
The US Army Publication Office has published a file with related recommendations.
These were sent to military units, including the release of this document, "ALARACT", on how to solve the problem of troop shortages by reinstating veterans and retirees.
Military journalists in the United States call this "hidden mobilization" and associate it with the situation in Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan.
The last time a U.S. military recall was conducted was in May 2020, when the Pentagon sought volunteers from among its 800,000 Ready Reserve and retired soldiers to help respond to the COVID pandemic.
"Retirement Recall" was also conducted during Desert Storm, 9/11, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
