Hundreds of people joined an opposition rally outside Tirana City Hall on Friday, calling Mayor Erion Veliaj a 'thief' and demanding his resignation over alleged involvement in the 5D embezzlement scandal, with Molotov cocktails and other projectiles thrown at the municipal building.

Footage features protesters struggling to break through a police cordon, as a Molotov cocktail is hurled toward the building and the crowd brandishes flares and waves placards, reading 'Enough, resign!'
