Protesters carrying EU and Georgian flags surrounded the parliament building and blocked Rustaveli Avenue.

Some are trying to break through the cordons of law enforcement officers and climb onto the stage set up for the rally of the ruling party.

Police have been mobilized in the city, and no arrests have been reported yet.
