In Belarus, hunters are being retrained to become snipers. The chairman of the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishers (BOOR) Shunevich spoke about this:

“When the task was set to determine their place in the national security system of armed people, who today form the basis of the Belarusian society of hunters and fishermen, I sent a letter on a voluntary basis to inform those who wish. I’ll tell you this, in confidence, that the number of people willing to undergo retraining in the “Sniper” system, let’s say, in one of the military specialties, exceeded all my expectations. Therefore, today a system is being created to engage such specialists and retrain them; the Ministry of Defense has already organized this process.”
