The head of the Gagauz autonomy of Moldova, Gutsul, has arrived at the court where the case of financing the "Shor" party will be considered — her supporters picketed outside the building

The trial against the head of the Gagauz autonomy of Moldova, Eugenia Gutsul, who is accused of involvement in the illegal financing of the "Shor" party banned in the republic, has started today. The hearing is being held in the Sectorul Buiucani court in Chişinău. The head of the autonomy calls the criminal case against her fabricated and calls it political persecution.

At the same time, supporters of Eugenia Gutsul have already gathered in front of the court building with pickets. The head of the autonomy faces a fine or up to seven years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions.
