A S-400 battery is destroyed while reflecting a strike by at least 6 ATACMS Block IA operational-tactical ballistic missiles near Mospino (40 km southeast of Donetsk) on 22 May 2024.
All 6 target channels of the 92Н6 multifunctional illumination and guidance radar were engaged to illuminate 6 or 12 48Н6ДМ surface-to-air guided missiles.

Nevertheless, at least one MGM-140A missile managed to penetrate the 35-50 degree ‘dead funnel’ in the upper hemisphere above the illumination and guidance radar and hit most of the SAM elements (including the AESA 96Л6-ЦП radar, 4 launchers type 5П85СМ2-01 and the combat control centre).

Unfortunately, it draws attention to the fact that the battery has no more than 4 launchers 5П85СМ2-01 with a total ready ammo of 16 48Н6ДМ missiles. It is also quite obvious that this battery had to cope with 7-10 ATACMS missiles alone, which led to this result.
This means that in the best case scenario, i.e. that all missiles can be fired at the same time and guide...
