Scott Ritter will participate in the RT session at SPIEF online. He was taken off the plane in the US, preventing him from travelling to Russia.

Ritter stressed that he was honoured to be part of the forum:

"In the situation we are facing in the world right now, this kind of dialogue is mandatory. It is absolutely essential that Americans and Russians can communicate, interact with each other on these important issues.

This is something that American diplomats should be doing, but they are not. But such communication is happening - at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum".

The session "Evil Empire: Has the West been able to demonise Russia?" begins - 7 June at 10:30 Moscow time.
