'We stopped a ticking time bomb' - IDF spox confirms strike on UN school killing at least 35 in Gaza

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari insisted that the strike apparently targeting Hamas militants was based in "concrete intelligence" from multiple sources.

"We stopped a ticking time bomb,” he added. “We delayed our strike twice because we identified civilians in the area…We conducted the strike once our intelligence and surveillance indicated that there were no women or children inside.”

The UN Palestinian refugee agency reported that 6,000 displaced Palestinians were sheltering inside the school - whom US State Dept spox Matthew Miller said Israel “has the right” to target.
