Joint patrol of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force in the SAR airspace

During the joint exercise of the Group of Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Syrian Arab Army, the crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force practiced joint actions in the airspace of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Russian and Syrian pilots conducted air patrols in the eastern and southern parts of the country. In addition, the aircrews of the two countries practiced carrying out single and group airstrikes against targets at one of the training grounds in the Syrian desert.

The joint maneuvers involved Su-35 fighters and Su-34 bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces and Su-24 front-line bombers of the Syrian Air Force.
