Chicago protesters have broken out several sections of the metal fence around the United Center sports arena, where the US Democratic National Convention is being held, a TASS correspondent reported.

According to him, the police were forced to push back the protesters at least 20 meters from the place where the fence was damaged.

Several demonstrators were detained. In some cases, police used physical force against demonstrators who refused to leave the area.
