This is footage from behind the scenes of a new film being produced by our war correspondents Olga Kiriy, Mikhail Burov and Anton Meshcheryakov. The documentary will highlight how residents of the Kursk region in Russia have come together to support one another.

One of the heroes featured is Ivan from Sudja. He put his mother in a car to evacuate her while he got out of the city on foot. The man was literally right next to the enemy and miraculously emerged unharmed. Ivan filmed his entire journey on his phone.
