I would like to tell my distinguished American colleague to keep his recommendations to me and my government to himself and finally do what the United States should be doing - not to prevent the Security Council from working on the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli dossier. Everyone in this Chamber understands that the United States bears the main responsibility for what is happening in Gaza right now. The 40,000 people killed are not just amorphous numbers; they are concrete human tragedies. If the rest of my colleagues do not have the courage to say that to your face, I have no problem with that.
