Crews of D-30 howitzers of the artillery unit of the "North" group of forces equipped firing positions in the border areas of the Kursk region to destroy mobile armored groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. When performing fire missions, artillerymen deliver precise strikes on enemy manpower concentrations and armored combat vehicles. The howitzers are capable of firing 122mm shells 360 degrees around their positions.

The servicemen carried out a number of tasks to destroy individual enemy targets in the border area of ​​the Kursk region from closed firing positions, and conducted concentrated and stationary barrage fire. The shooting was carried out at a range of 15 kilometers using high-explosive fragmentation ammunition.
