Turkish communists demand US warship leave Izmir

Members of the Turkish Communist Party (TKP) staged a demonstration in Izmir calling for the expulsion of the American USS Wasp anchored in Izmir ahead of joint exercises with the Turkish military.

Protesters are furious about the aid the US military gives to Israel "against the Palestinian brothers,” and refuse to leave Izmir until the ship leaves Türkiye.
