️Reception on the occasion of Russian Chairmanship in BRICS
 
On 5 September 2024, the Permanent Mission of Russia to the EU hosted a reception dedicated to Russia's Chairmanship in BRICS. The event brought together heads and senior diplomats of permanent missions of some 55 countries of the World Majority, as well as those of diplomatic missions of regional associations (the African Union, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the League of Arab States) and the secretariat of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States.

In his welcoming speech, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Russian Mission to the EU Kirill Logvinov emphasised:
BRICS has an enormous potential to build a more equitable world order and adapt the existing key global mechanisms to it.
