"As part of the strategic command and staff exercise dubbed 'Ocean-2024' that kicked off today, the Northern Fleet’s Arctic expeditionary group of forces has been deployed to the eastern regions of the Arctic Ocean," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement. 

Tasks assigned:

Ensure the security of coastal infrastructure facilities in the Arctic region of Russia

Investigate potential areas for military operations within the Arctic Sea zone

Conduct joint special operations aimed at eliminating terrorists during training exercises
