Thirty OH-58D Kiowa long-term storage helicopters at Stefanovikio Air Base in Greece have been declared completely destroyed by the massive flooding in the region, representing about 40% of the 70 Kiowa helicopters purchased as surplus from U.S. stockpiles.

Three to six AH-64A+ Apache attack helicopters out of 19 were also lost.

Critical infrastructure at the military base was severely damaged.
