Monster Typhoon pummels Shanghai

The strongest typhoon to hit Shanghai in 75 years made landfall early Monday, forcing 400,000 to be evacuated as a precaution and all flights at the two main airports to be canceled.

Typhoon Bebinca boasts wind speeds of up to 151 kph at its eye and has already killed six people in the Philippines after rampaging through the Pacific nation and Japan last week.

Over 60,000 emergency responders have been deployed to help, according to state media.
