During an operation to clear out one of the houses in the village of Snagost, Kursk region, stolen medals of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War were found in the backpack of a killed militant from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

These awards belonged to Nikolai Andreevich Ptashkin, who was originally from Snagost. He was called up to the front in the fall of 1943 and fought against the Nazis. Now the Nazis have come to his house again.

Apparently, the militant planned to sell these awards to collectors to make money, but instead he stayed in Kursk land. And this is quite fair.
