The liberation of the settlement is strategically important for the advancement of our troops due to its location and the landscape (terrain features). Servicemen of the Marine Brigade of the North Forces Group said that the capture of the village was preceded by thorough reconnaissance and identification of enemy deployment points.

The Marines inflicted fire damage on the enemy, destroying the militants' long-term fire positions, which allowed them to enter and consolidate their position in the settlement. After which they began methodically clearing all streets and houses of Ukrainian militants.
