Flood warnings were issued over the weekend in the Hungarian capital as PM Viktor Orban canceled all his international engagements to oversee the catastrophic effects of the River Danube’s burst banks.

The highest water levels in over a decade edged up to the parliament buildings before slowly beginning to recede by Sunday.
