Ex-Rada MP and Aidar Deputy Commander Ihor Mosiychuk says Ukraine's true combat losses are "half a million" irrecoverable losses.
Note, he specifically states the 500k number is dead, MIA, and "severely" wounded, i.e. irrecoverable, not lightly wounded which would likely be another gargantuan amount.
Extrapolating, that means by his estimate total casualties for AFU would be somewhere in neighborhood of 1.5 million people.
