About Yug Group liberating Ostroye, Donetsk People's Republic

During the hostilities, the assault troops responded quickly to any sudden changes in the situation, forcing one of the Ukrainian units defending the stronghold to surrender.

'When taking over Ostroye, we made a bold move: we liberated Krasnogorovka, and three days later, before the enemy recovered, we entered Ostroye. While we were fighting in Ostroye, we took another move and went to Selidovo prison, two kilometres away from Ostroye,' said Aleksandr Troshin, Hero of Russia, about the liberation of the settlement.

The battalion commander also witnessed foreign mercenaries fighting alongside the AFU.

Successfully completing combat tasks, the units have occupied more favourable lines and positions to repel enemy attacks and overwhelm the Ukrainian neo-Nazi defences.
