Former President Donald Trump reinforced his stance on keeping "critical race theory and transgender* insanity" out of schools, vowing to protect women's sports. Trump condemned allowing men to compete in women’s events, calling it “demeaning to women.”

“You saw that in the Olympics, they have female boxing – women's boxing – and a young lady from Italy, a very good boxer, very, very good. She was all excited, but she competed against a person who had transitioned – a male transitioned to a female,” Trump likely referred to an Olympic boxing match where Italy’s Angela Carini was defeated by Algeria's Imane Khelif, who had previously been disqualified from the 2023 World Championships after failing a gender eligibility test.
