Meloni-themed restaurant opens in Albania in celebration of migration crackdown

An Albanian restaurateur celebrated Italy's decision to send asylum seekers to his country by decorating his restaurant with dozens of paintings of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, created by Albanian artist Helidon Haliti.

Italy's decision to build two reception centers in Albania has faced criticism from some civil rights groups; however, restaurant owner Gjergj Luca praised Meloni as “the only voice in Europe that tells the truth.”

An Italian pensioner living in Albania also expressed support for Meloni during a visit to the restaurant.
