The Russian President began talks with BRICS Bank Chairwoman Dilma Rousseff on the sidelines of the summit in Kazan (Russia).

️ Putin said the switch to settlements in national currencies lowers debt servicing and reduces geopolitical risks.

The West had earlier worried that the BRICS countries would agree on a plan to defeat the dollar at the summit.
