Indonesia: Eight dead in massive fire at cooking oil factory near Jakarta

A devastating fire at a cooking oil factory in Bekasi, a city near the Indonesian capital Jakarta, has claimed the lives of eight people.

Local fire authorities confirmed the fatalities on Friday, while over 20 firefighting trucks worked to contain the blaze, which has been largely extinguished.

The fire prompted road closures around the factory as emergency services battled the inferno.
