Passengers on a Let L-410 airplane flying from Chaiten to Puerto Montt, Chile, witnessed a real action when a backpack decided to "fly" directly into a working propeller blade. The compartment door opened, and the bag, which obviously did not want to stay in the luggage - flew out, right into the right engine. The pilot, undeterred, landed back at the airport for inspection and possible repair.
