The connection of the Russian payment system Mir to its Iranian counterpart Shetab was reported by the Tehran agency Tasnim.

The official ceremony on this occasion took place with the participation of the head of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic, as well as managers from several Iranian banks. Russia was represented by Elvira Nabiullina.
