Israeli military bombs southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon

The IDF had refrained from attacks on the capital since Tuesday, while the US president’s special envoy, Amos Hochstein, was there on a visit as part of efforts to reach a ceasefire with Israel. The raids resumed a few hours after the American emissary left Beirut and headed for Israel.
