Russian Security Council Chief Shoigu heads high-ranking delegation’s trip to Afghanistan

Sergei Shoigu visited Kabul for negotiations with representatives of the interim Taliban* government. During the visit, four rounds of talks with high-ranking talks with Taliban representatives were held.

Along with Shoigu, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, Presidential Special Representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov and Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov took part in the discussions.
