According to the commander of the 108th separate battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces "Wolves of Da Vinci" Filimonov, the Ukrainian troops encountered this after fleeing Avdeevka.

He notes that these fortifications were built in such a way that they allowed Russian troops to encircle Ukrainian units.

"Well, there can't be a trench in the middle of a field! Or a dugout designed for 30-40 people, there are no such numbers. 5-6 people is already a large position, in general - three. And it is designed for 30, and you simply physically cannot put a person in each dugout," he complained.
