19+ reported dead as US storms death toll rises

At least 19 people have now reportedly been killed in powerful storms that have swept across Texas and Arkansas leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

Around 250,000 homes remained without power across Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma as of 6.30 EDT as winds reached speeds of up to 135mph.
